This website collects almost nothing. Here is exactly what "almost" means.
§ 1Summary
This website is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds, and does not use any advertising or tracking technology. The only personal data we process in connection with this site is what you choose to send us by email — typically a pitch sent the way the founders page describes, or a message to the address on the contact page. Company details are in the legal notice.
§ 2Server logs
When you visit the site, the web server that hosts it may automatically record technical information in its log files: the requested page, date and time, the referring page, your browser type and version, and your IP address. These logs are used only to operate the site securely and to diagnose faults. They are retained for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted. The legal basis for this processing, where one is required, is our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website.
§ 3Email and pitches
If you write to us, we process the personal data you include — typically your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message and any attachments such as a pitch deck. We use this data only to respond to you, to evaluate a potential investment or business relationship, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell or rent this data, and we do not share it with third parties except where necessary to evaluate an opportunity (for example, with a co-investor, and only with your knowledge) or where required by law.
Pitch materials sent to us are treated as confidential in practice, but we do not sign non-disclosure agreements at the pitch stage. Please do not send us information you would not be comfortable sharing without one.
§ 4Retention
We keep correspondence for as long as it is relevant to a potential or existing relationship and for as long as we are legally required to. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see § 6).
§ 5Cookies, analytics and third parties
None. This site does not set cookies of any kind, does not use analytics, and does not embed content from other domains. All fonts and assets are served from our own domain.
§ 6Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email info@rutenberg.capital. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law.
§ 7Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Email is transported over TLS where the receiving server supports it. If you need to send us something sensitive, ask and we will arrange a suitable channel.
§ 8Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
§ 9Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will be noted here.
